Where are we?

The Goyt Valley lies between, Buxton, Macclesfield and Whaley Bridge on the Cheshire, Derbyshire border. There are signposts from main roads.

From Macclesfield: A537 to Buxton. Turn left after about 3 miles (Goyt Valley sign). Pass Lamaload Reservoir on left. At T-junction turn right (Goyt Valley sign). Proceed approximately 2 miles to reservoir.

From Buxton: A5002 to Whaley Bridge. Turn left after about 2 miles at Goyt Valley sign post. Proceed approximately 1 mile down hill to reservoir.

From Whaley Bridge: Chapel-en-le-Frith: Take A5002 towards Buxton. After approximately 3 miles, turn right at the Goyt Valley sign post.
